RE: HP gains?
15-20hp with no tune... you will never truly see the hp they "Claim" without tuning your car for the changes. all it sees is that it can breath little bit easier and exhual a little bit bigger so its only gonna compensate very little...

RE: HP gains?
With our engines (D17), expect no more than 10whp, if that.

RE: HP gains?
what kind of gains would he expect with a tune?
|
RE: HP gains?
for tune figure in 300-1400 for the ECU/piggy back unit to be able to tune it.. then whatever you local shop charges.. 200-500

RE: HP gains?
The biggest change is the noise!!
|
RE: HP gains?
you have to have an electronic device that can change signals the ecu is changing and a dyno to mess around with the fuel maps slighlty to squeeze out the most hp posible by the aftermarket parts installed...

RE: HP gains?
id say 10-12hp.
|
RE: HP gains?
10-12 seems about right, possibly 12-15. A tune is also NOT worth all the tons of money unless you have some major modifications done to your car, not just a few bolt-ons. If you want to add more power forget the tune and think along the lines of IM/TB, hi-flow cat (not a huge gain, but it would finish up your exhaust), and a better camshaft.
