Default Need a list of stock turboed cars!

Ok so I want to do a home made turbo set up on my Civic, mainly using junkyard stuff. So what types of turboes came off of what cars, for example: TD05-14b (gen. 1 eclipse). I am looking for a junkyard T3 turbo to strap onto my single cam civic. Any info on this stuff would be great, thanks.

id rather go with a new garrett T3 turbine

but as for your question...DSM turbos and WRX turbos are the best stockers IMO.

Yeah good call on the DSM units, however they are too small, I want alittle larger turbo that will spool later, thus helping on fuel economy not having the BOV going off in between stop lights and making power to red line. Also the WRX turbos are harder to find, more expensive and harder to fabricate piping to.

ford put them in the thunderbird super coupe. you could find one of those pretty easy and its a good sized T3 turbo.

no matter what turbo set up u want your goin to need a BOV wheither it be plumbed back into the intake tract or not you need one. compresser surge is not good for the compressor blades and can eventually kill a turbo. compresser surge is when you close the throttle and the pressureized air that jus left the compresser housing has no where to go since the throttle is closed, where else does it go??? back where it came from. it damages the thrust bearings inside the turbo and eventually causes it to fail.
