Default i feel like such an idiot

I have a 99 ex. I recently got a new clutch. Obviously they needed to take out the battery out wich reset my stock head unit. I don't have the code for it so i currently can't listen to music. I need to take the head unit out and get the serial number so the local honda dealership can give me my code. How do i take it out?

Try unscrewing the center console (black cover under the radio) which will then give you access to the radio's retaining screws.

<sigh> fine.

remove the belly pan under the steering wheel. There iwll be threee screws and one clip (you gotta yank it off). Then remove the glove box. now remove the panel under the stereo with the 12v socket in it. There should be 2 screws now exposed on each side of the stereo panel. And under there should be 2 screws attaching to the frame of the dash in the center. Once done yank out the console. Unplug all of the a/c olugs and you are set.
