mmmmm no, no it won't fit... they will have to buy a tranny from a K series motor and use that, when it comes to tranny's look at it like this, for every block you have to use a tranny from that same series of block, (i.e. K series engine needs K series tranny, d series engine needs a D series tranny ect...) and if you getting a K24 tell you friend to get the K20 head from a RSX, much more stable...

even if you can whats the point? the D17 transmission has crappy gear ratios and the K is a 6 speed...and even a K transmission will cost you a grand at most.

The K24's come from the TSX, Accord, Pilot, and CRV. A auto transmission from a TSX or a Accord will work but do know your talking about a good $2500+ investment on parts alone to do this after you have bought the engine and transmission. I have figured it up to be around a $4000 to $4500 swap if you source your parts correctly.

if you already have a K series engine why would you want to swap to the K24? well, wait you have the SI right?? yeah isn't the K20a3 the bastard of the K20's? Owen you should swap that head for the one from the K20Z1

The K24 offers displacement, it is the same idea of doing a CR/VTEC or B20 vtec conversion but more displacement and a better platform(K-Series). People talk all day about the K24 not handling the high revs that the K20A's head and cams are setup for but it's not true for the most part. Displacement has nothing to do with the ability to rev it has everything to do with the rod to stroke ratio which directly points to rod length in this case. The K20's are perfectly square engines which mean they are made to rev even more so than say a B18C5. The K24 gets it's own benefits from this meaning that it is not far off from what makes the K20 Type R engines great plus it adds to it by carrying more displacement. The K24 with arp rod bolts, a K20A water and oil pump, K20A head, K20A intake manifold is a damn fine combo that in the future will be common place.
