If you stayed with inca pearl then it would be cheaper than doing a color change. But, if you've got the cash and he's a pro, then I wouldn't worry about a color change at all. You won't know the difference.
You ask... How in the heck do you paint those? or do they stay the stock color?
The least you have to do to prepare a car for color change... To paint the engine bay, the engine has be pulled, there's just no way around it. To paint the door jambs, the interior will have to be taped off and covered as well. Same for the trunk. That's the "cheap" way...
But to do it right, you have to tear the whole car down like 98civic285whp said.
Similar to this example... And yes, it's very pricey.
