I'm sorry i guess nobody told you that 30 year old hillbillies that are still in the 3rd grade are not allowed to post on here. So just take that short bus that you rode to the ford dealership back to the holler where you live, and someday when you get your GED, and you're not busy humpping your sister you can try posting on here again.

This is the most intense flame war I've seen since the Cobalt VS Mustang SVT thread on SVT performance.com.

Your warning sticker is hillarious. I guess there's really no reason to keep posting on this thread, it's dead.

well this comes from a quote that streetsniper once said in a p.m. that he sent me when i first joined this forum. i kept it becuase i could read it to people who ever try to rag on tuners. but i hope this helps mister 88 mustang out a little bit.

There is nothing "Redneck" about Tuning. If rednecks want to go faster they have to replace their engine with a bigger one. Their motto is "No replacement for displacement" meaning bigger is better. While tuners frequently do "swaps" it's usually to a more efficient motor and not a bigger one. Our terminology is "Volumetric Efficiency." A typical chevy small block 350 would have to make 570Hp to reach the volumetric efficiency of a stock B16.

The other thing is handling. Rednecks go fast and turn left, if they turn at all. We set our cars up for control. Bigger brakes, more responsive handling, stiffer cahssis... these things are for control and they all equal a safer car. Power is nothing without control

-Streetsniper

uhmm most guys dont just get bigger motors swapped in. Most stroke/bore their motors over to increase displacement. And in a lot of instances there really is no replacement for displacement. say you want to make more power out of your turbo Civic, what do you do? You max the turbo out, then when it comes time for even more, you get a bigger turbo, well it takes more power from your engine to spool a big turbo. So you got to work your motor over a little, increase valve size, to increase air and fuel flow etc...

you can argue V8 vs tuner 4 cyl all day, but when it comes down to plain facts, its easier, cheaper, and more efficent making power out of a V8. You can argue Hp/Liter, power to weight ratio etc etc... Thats all fine, but that means nothing when you can easily eclipse the power out of a 4 cyl tuner motor for realitve pennies compared to the V8.

You cant argue handling, I have got my ass handed to me at the autox course in my STi and my SRT4 against old school GM's, Mopars and Fords.

Whats guys .I don't own a civic ,but I do respect a well built civic. I don't own a srt-4 either yet again I do respect them, but someone on here posted that the srt-4 handels like a wrx. No to be an ass, but are you insane? I auto-x and though the srt-4 is a beast on the strip there is no bigger slugg on the auto-x circut than a stock srt-4. the handeling is junk. They are constantly get their asses handed to them by the civic si ,the svt focus and the mini cooper S. They can't even hang with the spec-V sentras.I know that my SVTF would get killed by a well modded srt-4 on the strip and before the powerworks SC kit I wouldn't even consider running a stock srt-4, but that is my my car tends to stay on the road courses and auto-x tracks.

SRT-4 ACR will constiently get better times than my old 04 Cobb Stage II WRX with tein coliovers. And every other non STi STOCK WRX I have seen. Go do some research. Hell even the base non LSD SRT4 does a 600ft slalom in 69mph (about the same speed as a Ferrari 550 Maranello) The ACR SRT4 has adjustable suspension smaller wider lighter wheels, and amazing brakes (much better than per 06 base WRX's. Im talking about STOCK WRX's vs STOCK ACR SRT4s...in which case the SRT4 has the upperhand in the handling dept.

Here is a direct comparison to prove my point further

http://www.caranddriver.com/comparisons/11116/dodge-srt4-acr.html

"Highs: Big dirty speed, astounding brakes, an autocrosser ready for tire immolation."

Thus equipped, this smiley-faced Dodge is not so much a bull in a china shop as a tyrannosaur in a maternity ward. Not only does its turbo 2.4-liter four produce 230 horses, but it also churns out 107 more pound-feet of torque than the Acura. No surprise, then, that it bagged the quickest 0-to-60 time (5.6 seconds), the quickest and fastest quarter-mile blast (14.3 seconds at 99 mph), the greatest top speed (150), and the most enviable autocross time. The Dodge was the only car in our quintet to score a perfect 20 points in our coveted powertrain performance ranking.
