Hey guys, my muffler on my 99 DX coupe is passed its time. Quite a few holes are making it very annoying to drive. So I figured this is a good a time as any to add some subtle styling to the car. I have been searching awhile for a nice subtle muffler with a small tip (less than 4 inches) and i came across OBX's replica of the Mugen twin loop muffler.
The inlet piping is 2.5 inches and the tip is 3 inches. My only question ( as this is my first standalone muffler I have put on a car, all my other cars I just got complete units) is will the 2.5 inche piping be able to weld right up to the factory piping from the rest of the exhaust?
It says universal fit for all Honda Civics, but I know that can mean universal after some serious fab work. Just wondering if anyone has any idea? Thanks for the help

it should just weld right up... i'm getting a dc sports universal muffler and they said it should but we will see looks nice though...

everyone talks bad about OBX but i've never seen proof. my friend has had an OBX header on his car for a year and its been absolutely fine, luky? i dunno maybe...but seeing that its only a muffler its really not a big deal and the welds should hold..
edit: i do know tho that the OBX intake manifold have a major problem with fitment. gota do alot of adjustments and its so bulky that u cant fit a strut bar over it..
If it doesn't weld directly, just go to Napa, AutoZone, Advance, and pick up a 2.5" to 2" steal reducer and have it welded at the connection point. They're about 3 dollars

Its really not that big at all, and when its installed it looks even smaller. The tip diamater is only 3 inches, which is perfect for the "custom-stock" look im going for
Here is a pic of it mounted on a similar EK Civic coupe.
It reminds me a lot of my stock muffler on my STi, subtle yet nice. and on the back of a civic most people wont automatically think its an aftermarket piece. its kind of like Chip Foose's philosophy.

Im going to order one Saturday, expect a detailed review of it wednesday next week
yah the purpose of the twin loop is for it to stay quiet at idle, its not too loud at all I read some reivews on the passwordjdm forum and I guess unlike a lot of other OBX products the welds are really nice and it hold up very well. So im pretty excited
