Default I would like for everyone to read this.

Everyone must stop with the "take it to the track" bid. I am not against you but in the fairness to this section and the members posting in it we need to keep this to a min if we could. I am not stating that I support street racing because I dont and HCF will not be held accountable for such actions but all I ask is for every member to be carefull and to really think about what could happen before taking others lives into your hands. I also plead with people to take it to a track if at all possable because we here love hearing times/trap speeds, looking at time slips, plus it is a all around great place for a car enthusiest to go. Give it a try.

Thank you so much. That is all I've been getting at this whole time. I don't agree with street racing either, but it doesn't make sense to have a section of the forum as a place to talk about it when if you do post a story about it you constantly get flamed. I'm sure sure this part was more geared toward track stories, but it is called Street and Strip. A little advice toward someones safety and the safety of others is a good thing, but a bunch of people filling up the guys thread with it and ramming it down their throat is not. I'll bet its made several people either leave the forum, or at leist stop posting in this section. For those that its helped thats great, but I'll bet the numbers are low. Unfortunately, alot of people just have to learn things the hard way, especially when they are younger. I know I did. Thanks again!

The fact of the matter is, that most of the street stories involve actions that are clearly dangerous. These actions are half the reasoning behind everyone automatically labeling Civic owners as "ricers." Every kid with a Civic and set of wheels thinks they're a tuner and wants to street race. 90% of these kids have little to no driving skill, not to mention good judgement..

What I said in that mustang thread stands. But if it'll make everyone happy, I will no longer post in these rediculous threads.

I agree with all of you and is true about kid.... a friend of my was racing and he failed when shiftin gear and he almost blew the engine and to avoid it he loose his focus on the road and cocnetrate in put it in the correct gear ad he loose control and almost die... the point is that we dont have the judgement. including me im 16 years old......... thoug i raced 2 times the first time was silly the second i went over 100mph and i regret it.

well ive technically street raced like 3 times but all three times ive never been over the speed limit, which in two cases was 35 and the other was 50. i agree with marty to a certain point. i do agree with going to a track, if u have access to one, go and dont do it on the streets. but like in my case or anyone else around here in my area, we dont have a track to go to. if we did it is like a 2 hour drive and most people dont want to drive that far. so i got to ask u marty, what should we do if we dont have a track, im sure the response is gonna be, well then dont race, but we all know that cant and will not happen. any suggestions?
