i'm glad to see you know your stuff, but i'm not wrong and you didn't read my post correctly, it said "tranny oil is made for moving gears", not that it moves the gears, nor did i say that there is a pump housing assembly, and i know it's a "MANUAL" transmission, and i'm glad you know what a transmission does and know what one looks like on the inside, but i've worked on a few myself, so i have an ok background. i know that you can use regular motor in a transmission with no drawbacks, but just like an engine, it can except different viscosities and it will affect it's performance, such as smoother idling and knocking. and just like eg4life said, there is no combustion in a tranny, while engine oil is made to slow the process of sludging, carbon build up, and to wet the seals; tranny fluid is made to lubricate the gears. and for the earlier statement saying that it's not made by honda, that is partially true, it isn't manufactured by honda, because they're not in that business, but they did originally formulate the oil specially for their high revving engines. SO, i just want to say that i didn't come here to start a stupid forum war, i just stated my previous knowledge of transmissions, and i'm sorry if i offended anyone that takes this stuff too seriously. LOL

no worries buddy, its cool to use the honda stuff, i have used it myself in the past. but just don't call me eg4life, its EF baby
