what engine swap can i do to my 89 civic and still be able to pass smog

anyone with more knowledge then me can correct me, but i beleive that as long as you swap to a decent engine that ITSELF can pass smog...your car will pass

Yeah 04 civic is right, as long as the engine can pass smog u'll be straight. I know in Cali. if a pig pulls u over and has u pop the hood, (and actually knows what he is lookin at) If u have a swap he'll right a fix it ticket, and u have to go to a ref. and prove to him that everything complies with state regulations. For regulations check ur local DMV. Late

Indeed in cali its all good if the engine passes emissions and you can prove the motor is newer than your whip
