RE: lowering

if money is a issue..i would go with springs and shocks, for a good set you coils you would want to speng 500+ ,for some springs and shochs you can get them around about 250 or less for a nice set..search around this topic for ideas on which kind to get

struts/springs would be ur best bet for a comfy ride and bang for buck. since u have 17's u might wana look for somethin around a 1.5" drop or so, might have rubbing issues if u go lower but im not 100% sure.

all you need is about a 1.5" drop, just lowering springs will do, and it will fit in your budget, you only need coilovers and a whole new suspension if you go to the track a lot or something. whole thing should cost under $250 for a good set and install.

i'll recommend what i always recommend...Tokico Illuminas and H&R Sports. between a 1.5 and 2 inch drop and can be had for about 300-350 total.

yeah that's a good setup, but is not needed for a minor drop

we'll see if he agrees with you when hes replacing his OE shocks every 6 months with the Sports

had my 2.5" drop for about 2 years now, no problems, but thank you for the smartass attitude.

RE: lowering

Sounds like quite the question, "if i get lowering springs do i need anything else" Ive searched and seen a whole lot of different answers sounds like we need to take a poll or something.
