Can someone tell me what has to be done to add turbo to d15b7? Do internals HAVE to be changed, or can it handle it? I have been reading all your posts, and I can't find a clear answer to this.
how much strain?? My horsepower goals are as follows.....ANTHING FASTER THAN THIS STOCK DOG!!!! Just kidding. No seriously, just looking for it to be quick.
who said anything about 300hp??? My question is can turbo be added in its current state, or do I have to change internals? If it can be added in its current state, how much can I get out of it??
You can probably get about 175-200whp out of it. A greddy kit at 10psi is about what I'd max it at, no more than that.
D15B7 has dinky rods, doesn't take too much to snap them. Just swap in a D16Z6 for cheap and boost that, someone around here is making 375whp on a 100% stock block.

id pick up like a greddy kit or build something similar and boost on your motor stock. dont even bother attempting to build the b7 unless you got the cash to spend. rods for instance, only one set i have ever seen and there $700 a pop for the d15's. a basic greddy kit with an adition of the intercooler and bov would be perfect for a starter new to forced induction.
