Don't forget a excessively large wing and some underglow. With that and stickers you'll be running 9 second 1/4's.

You don't want heat to dissipate from the exhaust manifold... you want to keep it in. More heat=faster spooling.

RE: Moonroof Visor...Is it worth it?
I had one and didn't like it. Not only did it scuff the paint (like anything that mounts to body panels, such as mud flaps, trim etc.) but it looked dumb.

RE: Wheel width and tire size
I'm getting conflicting specs on offsets from different websites. I'm referring to the rota sliptream if that helps.
6.5" +40
7" +40 or +45
8" +48
I'm thinking of the 16x7 with a 205/45...

Wheel width and tire size
I have three options for the 16" wheels I'm getting next week... 6.5", 7", and 8" widths. Which would you recommend?
Also, what would be a typical tire size?

RE: boost vs. n/a
I don't see how you couldn't have heard about traction problems. The FWD setup has the worst traction of any drive setup, and the addition of torque only amplifies it. Google the effects of weight...

Will it be enough?
I recently asked about running two kappa perfect 12" subs. But I'm starting to think that I would prefer one.
But here's the thing. I used to run a 351m amp with a 12 rf he2 sub and wasn't...

RE: boost vs. n/a
Don't forget about the added weight of boosting, and the lack of traction a fwd setup has with the big torque of a turbo. N/A isn't out of the question.
I, however, agree that boosting is the...

It's not the amount of power, it's the rate of discharge. Google batteries and you'll learn something.

RE: Optima Yellow Top worth it?
Deep cycle batteries aren't designed for starting loads. If you consistently use a deep cycle battery to start your car it's going to give the cells memory and degrade the battery.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was saying. I did hear one time that amps are able to put out a cleaner signal on a 4ohm load but I don't see how that would be true.

RE: Is this a good combo?
The combined RMS of the two subs is 700w, they're 4ohm single voice coil subs so I would wire them to 2ohm. Here is an alpine that will do 800 to a 2ohm load: amp...

Hmmm... my only concern would be that if I got black headlights, taillights, and black (with a polished lip) wheels, the car would look too stark. I don't want it to look like a black blob.
But...
