manual is the only way to go...i previously drove an automatic 4 dr 2000 civic dx, it got rear ended by some tool real bad, written off and I bought a 2 dr 2000 civic SI and i'd never go back to an automatic.

Just replying to someone saying autos are for sissies (not exact words) just wanted to give them a taste of their own medicine. figured if they can diss i could too. but the internet is no place for subtleties, and my sarcasm didn't show through. Just dont hate on those who didnt have to much of options in the matter of their transmission choice. I live in labrador where our movie theatre gets movies about a month before they come out on video. unless you want a cavalier or sunfire, your options are limited, cuz it's rare to have a civic.  I hope my late night sarcasm didn't offend anyone, this forum is all about love man.

strangely, not true in the 8th gen civic

they get the same around town, but the auto gets better cruise mileage on the highway
