Hey guys, I got a question, I didn't come here to flame or anything, but more along the lines of learning...
Tommorow I got a few races lined up and I was wondering if you guys could tell me how these guys would hang with me.
1st race: 1999 Turboed Prelude, its stock engine and the driver says he is making 17 psi on his turbo. Which is a ton for stock internals?
2nd Race: turboed 2006 Civic, non Si. not sure about the PSI.
3rd race: 2005 G35 Coupe with a CAI and exhaust.
4th race: old LT1 maro with a CAI and Headers.
5th race: a Srt-4 making a little more than stock psi, new clutch, and exhaust.
17 psi stock internals...hmm sounds a little fishy...
turboed non si...thats still only what? maybe 220, 230 horsepower, your gt will take it easy
g35-thats plenty of power, but i dont know about the weight compared to your car, might be a good race
camaro-lots of potential with that one, i think a good driver could take you with that one
srt4-hmm...depends about how much more than stock psi. those arent cars to take lightly. THey're SICK(for the price)

Put a type-r sticker and a nos sticker on your mustang and they dont have a chance.. those stickers are like 40 whp each.

the srt is a neon so you better not lose!!! Hahaha
1st guy is lieing about something with the prelude
2nd guy will loose to a 05 GT manual
3rd guy in the G35 will be a good race, better driver wins
4th guy will give you a run, drivers race but also has alot to do with how the Camaro has been treated
5th could be a toss up, some srt4's make way over their rated power stock and some dont.

I drive a 2005 GT mustang with a CAI + tune.
1 - He's lying. Stock H22s will not take that kind of boost, the sleeves will destroy themselves.
2 - Not enough info on that one. If it's built, has a nice sized turbo, and is pushing double digits lbs you may be in for some issues. However I've never so much as heard of anyone turboing a brand new 06 Civic so I'm curious to see how this turns out.
3 - You'll have this one easy, they're really not all that fast.
4 - Yours
5 - This one will be close I think.

Actually, they're pretty damn quick, probably one of the quicker off the line cars I've driven... it's basically a 350Z with a slightly different body, and possibly a 280 or 298hp engine depending on the transmission (6 speed gets the 298), granted you're talking about a 3500lb car or pretty much the same horsepower/weight as a mustang gt...
stock i think they run pretty much the same quarter times, so this'll likely be a very close race

The only car I would worry about would be the SRT4. Those things can be quick as hell when modded right. The prelude guy is lying. Never seen a turboed new non-Si but if the guy knows how to drive you might be in trouble. #'s 3 and 4 shouldnt be a problem.
for ****s and giggles, I walked all over an 05 Gt last night on the way home. But, theyre quicker than I thought =)
