I love them... I now have 6k HIDs running through them (H1 bulbs) and it is phoenominal how cool they are... the halo in real life is almost soo deep blue it is purpley color. I had some ebay projectors before but they had a crack on the cover that was just big enough to drive me bonkers and the halos didnt perfectly match color... so i got new ones!!
My04Civic 11-02-2006, 04:47 PM damn man they look great [sm=w00t.gif]
TheMoogly 11-02-2006, 05:10 PM Are you going to go projectors on your civ My04?
2005 Civic LX 11-08-2006, 10:29 PM SICK!!
hey did u have any problems with like the lights fitting? i heard that some of those fit a little off and shine light upwards alittle mor than stock, is that true?
How bright are the lights w/out the HID's
TheMoogly 11-09-2006, 12:30 AM The lights as in the HIDs? They fit fine because they are H1s... they do shine so bright that people flash me until I use my nokya high beams and that shuts them up... When I got them installed they adjusted the height of the bulb to clear the road perfectly.
How bright are my lights without the HIDs?... When i bought my first pair of projectors about a year ago they came with stock yellow halogen bulbs and I remember them being worse than my OEM headlight casing and bulbs... the projectors on a 04-05 civic really need HIDs to push the light through the glass projector.
The question you asked.. you do understand that HIDs are the lights, right?
If you means lights as in the halos... when my headlights (the HIDs) are on you cant see the halos because the light is so bright... with plain halogen bulbs (if i still had them in) you would definetly see them because halogen is yellow and the blue halos would be very visible... but the HIDs are VERY white and VERY blue as well so the halos are unseen clearly.

04em2 12-12-2006, 09:47 PM ya but the difference is your car is a 96 and mines an 04. there are very few available so i want to make sure i dont buy the worst ones. catch my drift?
TheMoogly 12-14-2006, 01:37 PM They dont make dual halos for 04s and up...
xStay Goldx 04-02-2007, 03:13 PM are the ones off ebay worth while, for like 80 bucks plus shipping?
TheMoogly 04-03-2007, 12:21 AM If you plan on doing your own HID retrofit or DIY dual halos you should go for the 80 bucks ones... but seriously... $80 and you're asking me if they are good quality?
xStay Goldx 04-03-2007, 04:50 AM well i got a good spoiler, or so far its good, from ebay, and i use ebay alot so im a little too trusting i guess?
i think i can do it myself, im not sure, if not im sure this asian guy down the street can do it, he has a little shop for tint and sound and i have seen some tail lights in the store
so are you saying not to go wtih ebay?
reccomand any good places?
online
TheMoogly 04-03-2007, 11:20 AM As for the retrofitting I would reccommend buying two sets of the $80 headlights because they are cheap and using one as a practice. The retrofit takes ALOT of time so taking it to a shop would probably run you much more than you ever hoped to spend. There isa guy on another forum with retrofitted projector housings w/dual halo (all hand made and beautiful) and it took him about 3 weeks total... he is wanting to sell them to me for $300 USED!
TheMoogly 04-03-2007, 11:22 AM You should join a bunch of different forums and post on the Wanted sections and ask for a used set... that'd be the easiest way when you really want specific because everybody wants to sell their stuff sometime
jeff_o 04-06-2007, 12:05 AM wow... they look nice. pardon my ignorant question, but I'm new to HID, do you replace the whole headlight assembly to stick the HID kit inside? or you just replace the reflector and everything? + do you have to rewire something? I heard HID kits use their own ballast? Can you DIY this? or you have to bring your car to a shop?
