SI with a strapped on turbo would rape the sc'd cobalt. Also, an srt-4 will rape all of these,

Actually, a stock k20 boosted would give an SRT 4 a run for its money. If you had an equal build for both cars the K20 would yield more power, but the str4s AWD factor would make it a better race car from a dig. However, if you take a stock str 4 and line it up against a bolt on SI with KPro, it would be close.......esp from a roll

Sorry, I meant that the srt4 would rape all of the others stock. Maybe i wasn't as clear as i meant to be.

^ If you're pushing what you think you're pushing, SS's are nothing. Unfortunately that T25 has a choked top end, but then again, so does the SC cobalt.

I've rape the SS cobalts, it's not even fair.

stock they aren't fast, but pretty quick, i don't like the way they drive or shift, kinda notchy and twitchy compared to an si or any honda for that matter. i had a redline ion for a few days last month, the power is great, and it is a good car to build, but the fun to drive factor isn't there for me, i would rather stick with my hondas any day of the week

i have a 99 ex with I/E and i beat a sc cobalt but i guess the driver sucked because in the 1/4 i beat him by like 2 cars. but i would go with the si over the other ones any day of the week. but i would rather a 99-00 si over any gen si. but thats just me

You'd be suprised, I think this turbo is some sort of anomaly. My tuner was watching the boost during our last session, and it didn't drop off until 6700rpms. And even then, it was still at 7psi till 7200

what you will find though, is that even though it is putting out that much boost, you aren't gonna be making much power up there because when the turbo is working harder, it is blowing hotter, thinner air.

heres an idea that my brother is doing, he is in the same debate as we speak. we went over all the pros and cons of both along with prices, both cars have there ups and downs. But he isnt getting eaither. he is getting the 2.4l ss coupe, which you can get for around 16$ and we are going to turbo his 2.4 which will give great gains, and when the project is done, you'll end up spending around the same money for the ss/sc or the si but the 2.4 w/ turbo will rape both of them. just an idea for ya
