Default could an Si beat an cobalt ss/sc?

Ok heres the thing. this december i am geting a new Si are a cobalt ss/cc are a ion redline but i still cant make up my mine. i really like the Si but could it beat a stock ss/cc? If not than by adding a turbo to it could it? PPL are telling me that cobalt are honda killers but every one i talked to has had a stage 2 cc/sc and say thay kill hondas all the time. How does the new Si hold up to a srt-4 stock?
i dont know much about the srt. what mods would it talk to beat one?

a new si would lose (unfortunatley) because they are just a 2 liter na engine, an amazing one at that. the cobalts and ion are underratted and are pushing about 215 to the wheels. my frined at work has an ion redline, with an intake, header, 2.85' pulley, 42 pound injectors, and a pcm tune. its aat about 260 whp, and that was about 800 dollars worth of stuff, that thing moves if you can get traction. and an srt4 is a lot faster than a cobalt ss stcok.

but i would still choose the better car which is the si, and its not uncommon for people with mild bolt ons and a hondata k-pro ecu to be at about 230-240 whp with a k20

another question about those cars, are all ss cobalts supercharged, because i see a lot of cobalts with ss badges that look different.

i test drove a Colbalt SS at Hot Import Nights and it was not that cool... i would rather stick with a Civic SI any day.... i dont give a damn if they are slower, they'll last a whole lot longer and they are hella fun to drive!!!!!!!!!!!

SI with a strapped on turbo would rape the sc'd cobalt. Also, an srt-4 will rape all of these, but you lose the "nice" factor in favor of the "raw power" factor (i don't mind :P)

Actually, a stock k20 boosted would give an SRT 4 a run for its money. If you had an equal build for both cars the K20 would yield more power, but the str4s AWD factor would make it a better race car from a dig. However, if you take a stock str 4 and line it up against a bolt on SI with KPro, it would be close.......esp from a roll
