Default d16 turbo vs. 1.8 turbo bettle

my friend has one of those 1.8 turbo bettles with i think 180hp..well today was the first time i saw him again since i got the turbo kit installed. so we went out to a good spot to make a couple passes. we ran 3 races. the first was a 1st gear roll at like 15mph (my speedo is broken so hell if i really know how fast) i put about 1.5-2 cars on him. second and third races were a 40ish roll from 2nd gear, put another 1.5-2 cars on him..all in all a fun set of races, his car was stock with a bov. my a/f was bad. gonna run him again when i get all that straightened out and see how much i pull on him then.

I used to say the same thing, Until I joined a VW forum (I owned a jetta at the time). I met a guy who rocked a new beetle, with a sick ass suspension setup, and he had the car supercharged. It was quite the force to be reckoned with, an EXCELLENT track car that handled and accelerated very well.

I'd never drive one, but I have gained respect for their potential
