Default '95 DX Sedan with no rear speakers and no wiring?!?

I recently bought a used '95 Civic DX Sedan and noticed there are no rear speakers in it. I can see the mounting brackets from inside the trunk, but there aren't any wires ran to suggest that there were speakers in there to begin with. I'm trying to avoid taking off interior peices just for the sake of exploration, but I have a feeling there's at least wires ran to plug new speakers into. Can anybody confirm this so I don't have to start removing paneling in vein???

Default RE: '95 DX Sedan with no rear speakers and no wiring?!?

yep. i had that same prob. mine's a sedan too but a 94. i guess that was an extra for that model but you could put speakers in yourself. there are factory wires that run back there but you would have to take off the panel so you could see them. i think they were around where the pillar meets the panel. so it's pretty simple just knowing how to cut the panel for the speakers is the hard part.
