below is a pic of axles(my new ones im putting in this week). they connect ur transmission to ur hub assemblies and make ur front wheels spin which makes ur car go. the rear wheels dont have axles(since our cars a FWD), so the wheels just spin freely. think of it like a bicycle(most bikes are RWD). when u pedal, the rear wheel causes u to move, but the front wheel is just there spinning freely.

You say you can handle the swap yourself

lol no MXS....i definately did not say that. Im just trying to learn as much as i can to see if this (the swap) is somethign i wanna do. And thank you alot for all the information, you have been extermely helpful

And i think i knew what u were talking about, but i was referring to the hub assembly as the axle.

I think i can handle the engine, tranny, and ECU
which is basically the rest of it.

here's another bit of trivia, do you know why you need new axles? it's because b-series axles are equal length... not different sizes like the picture above.

so the axles i have right now are different lengths?

EDIT: One more question, if i lower my car via some S-Techs, can i still swap the axles with that suspension? I mean to ask, the springs and axles have nothing to do with each right?

that explains why you posted in the suspension forum... I'll move this

EDIT: One more question, if i lower my car via some S-Techs, can i still swap the axles with that suspension? I mean to ask, the springs and axles have nothing to do with each right?
like I said before, they are not directly connected, it doesn't matter
