drop a vtec head on there and go turbo...or find someone that can hook u up on the smog and do that dohc swap...if you get a motor newer than your car in caliand have all the docs you can have a ref check out your car certify it badge itand be legal for smogwith the dohc swap...its a process thats not particularly cheap but it makes the swap legit

A head and ecu is all you should need (some new head studs wouldn't be a bad idea either oh and a hondata head gasket)...i believe the y8 head will fit your car but you should search the forum for more info...Its the head off the 93 and up civics you want to look for....i would also recommend looking into an oil line for your head to keep it lubed...ive dont have to much experience with the sohc vtec conversion but if you use the search fnc someone on here does....

having the ecu with the swap would be nice.......but that would require an obd1 conversion as well as a mpfi conversion. these 2 conversion would net you the best gains. however the mpfi conversion would net you an even better gain than the vtec headswap alone while running dpfi.

your right..........i would blame my miss reading on being drunk but that was not a drunken post. so therefore it was my miss reading that made me look like an idiot[8D]
so an obd1 conversion or...........use a pr3 ecu, have it chipped with a sohc vtec map and have the knock sensor option disabled.
