Chassis Code list - 12/14/2006 7:53:45 AM    Forty04 Posts: 14155 Joined: 3/8/2005 Status: offline I would like to thank Amelia (aka Amy, aka NOFX, aka tqless) from www.clubcivic.com for allowing me to post this sticky to her Chassis Code list. It is one of, if not thee most extensive and precise list on the internet, so hopefully we can avoid all these "what is my car (eg, ek, ej, etc..)" questions. Stupid question...? - 8/16/2007 12:03:00 AM    BigPossum   Posts: 9 Joined: 8/15/2007 Status: offline Hey, Bought a new '05 civic coupe almost 2 years ago now, just when the '06 models were coming out.  I don't know much about cars, but the dealer told me it was an SE - special edition, and that having that designation only means it's last year's model.  However, I'm trying to figure out if my car is a DX, LX, etc. and I have no idea how to go about that... or maybe I can't?  Or don't need to?  Sorry to those of you who are Honda/car enthusiasts, I know this must be a painfully stupid question for you.  As it turns out, I'm at this site because I'm interested in learning more about my vehicle and doing some work on it, so hopefully I'll have fewer such questions in the future... I tried looking at my VIN, and it doesn't seem to tell me what I'm looking for, or I don't know how to look for it. ____________ Perhaps I should add that I'm Canadian, and bought my Civic in Canada, in case that makes a difference to the designation. < Message edited by BigPossum -- 8/16/2007 12:05:53 AM > (in reply to Forty04) Post #: 5

RE: Stupid question...? - 8/18/2007 12:31:48 AM    BigPossum   Posts: 9 Joined: 8/15/2007 Status: offline Thanks pearl.  I didn't actually see my model there, but I have since found out (by looking at CIA kits online) that I have a DX/LX.  Still not sure which, since all the addons for one seem to fit both, but if I recall correctly th DX was the VERY basic version, and the LX had a/c and keyless entry/remote lock/unlock, which I have.  All that to say I have an LX, and you prolly don't care anyway lol.  Thanks again for the reply (in reply to theblackpearl) Post #: 7
