1994 Wiring Loom

Does anyone know where I can download a wiring diagram for a 1994 (16 valve, carb) 3 door?

Alternatively, I'm trying to locate the pulsed signal that controls the tachometer to pick up engine...

RE: Carburettors

Do you know what the solenoid does? I'm still getting the occasional power chop having

- rebuilt solenoid
- changed distributor cap and rotor arm
- tried plugging various hoses...

RE: Carburettors

Finally got round to doing the strip/clean/rebuild. Wasn't as bad as I feared and certainly the old gasket was well past its useful life.

There must be five or six vacuums which all appeared to...

RE: 1997 Civic EX excessive intermittent RPM/engine surges

Mech

I'm investigating something similar, but my theory is that the mixture is too lean following an engine rebuild. My approach is to keep an eye on the condition of the spark plugs and then...

RE: Weird Sound

Nicole

You're going to have to give us some more clues!

How did you get on with your mechanic? Where does the noise come from? Does it depend on load as well as speed?

There are plenty...

RE: Intermittent Starting Problem

At hot times of the day even if the car has not been used?

Are you using any throttle? I have had similar problems with another car (Volkswagen Golf GTi) when it is hot (the engine and the...

Carburettors

Does anyone know which type of carburettors were used on early/mid 90's civics?

Is there a good website that features these with details of jetting/tuning parts?

Thanks

RE: What is it?

Here's a couple of views of the engine.

You can't quite see the engine number but it would be somewhere underneath the radiator top hose.

Presumably the turbo squeezes in down the front?!!...

RE: Timing Belt/Water Pump replace

Thanks

I'll take a look when I can get the timing belt cover off. I'm presently putting red food colouring in the (tap) water so that I can locate the leak - if its coming out of the pump I...

RE: Timing Belt/Water Pump replace

Sacicons/JJ

I read this in passing. I'm trying to locate a coolant problem and wonder if its the pump. Is the water pump part of that mess gopng on around the timing belt on all Hondas? Mine...

RE: What is it?

Sacicons

Thanks for the reply. The spark plugs are set back towards the carb rather than the exhaust manifold which faces the radiator.

When you refer to the header on the block, I don't...

RE: What is it?

On the second point, I got the small panels off. Believe it or not they are labelled "speaker mounts"! Thats what I want to use them for. Where can I find 3" woofer (as opposed to tweeter) speakers...

RE: coolant level...crazy design!

Another question (1994 3 door): if its losing coolant all the time - the radiator takes up to a litre after every run) where are the obvious places to check for leaks?

RE: copression testing

another general tip is to give it full throttle (not running though!) to let the maximum air in.

RE: screeching noise when turning left

Could it be related to power steering? Not sure about the terminology but as you get towards full lock the power pack has more fluid to discharge whcih may mean a drive belt has to transfer more...

RE: What is it?

I don't know!

Its been debadged so all I can work on is the age and format.

It has no fuel injection, but I understand that was about the time it was introduced on flasher models.

What Is it?

I see a lot of references to engine numbers and reckon if I’m going to get any significant mods done I’ll need to find out what mine is.

Its in a ’94 3 door hatch and the...

RE: What is the strangest thing you have ever DONE in your car?

Surely the point of having a hatchback is so that you can take out the parcel shelf and drop the back seats??? Unless I'm missing something!

RE: Coolant Gauge pegged out

When did the problem start? Can you correlate this with other work/repairs where a wire may have got snagged?

What happened to the gauge when you disconnect (open circuit) the sender?

Other...
