ok guys i plan on getting the tokico hp kit, shocks/struts and lowering springs. i was concidering illuminas but i dont have a need for them and their more $$$$, i was also concidering getting some tein- stechs wihtout replacing the shocks however i do not want to get a blown shock altohugh i know ppl do it , wut do u guys think??????????
Tokicos are fine for daily driving, the ride is just harsher than the s-techs. You dont have to change out the struts as long as they are in good shape.
welll i live in NYC with many potholes do u think it would increase the chance of blowing my shocks/struts if i use the stock ones?? also will i need a camber kit although its only a 1.5 inch drop??
i think im going to go with s-tech springs and just use it with my stock struts, anyone who has s-tech with stocl shocks/struts please give me some feedback
noooo lol, their avoidable, the thing is their small but theirs a lot of them so i will be going threw a few small ones daily, do u think i should take the chance or jus buy aftermarket struts with the springs?
constant banging from potholes will cause aftermarkets to eventually blow up too.
you may have to end up buying new struts every few years if the potholes are that bad.
i'm gonna have to recommend springs with better dampening properties.
are your oem struts bad?
just bounce the front end of your car real fast up and down and then stop all of a sudden. bad struts will keep on bouncing. good struts will come to a controlled stop as soon as you stop bouncing the car.
test the rear of your car the same way.
if you have bad struts then replace them with adjustable ones or adjustable coilovers.
