Default 97 Civic EX b18c swap

I just purchased a B18cmotor with LSD tranny to drop into my 97 Civic EX. i have4 questions for the vets on the board.

1. Motor mounts. what motor mounts will i need to complete this swap. Ive read the rear tranny mount from 99-00 SI, and the Del Sol DOHC A/C bracket (i want to keep my A/C).

2. Radiator hoses. What do i need to reconnect the radiater hoses from my stock radiator to my B18C motor?

3. Wiring. What other wiring will i need to do? my swap came with the P72 ECU and complete harness.

4. the motor i purchased is an OBD1. what other parts will be needed to drop this into my OBD2 car?

Thanks in advance.

#1 Is correct that's all you will need. When I did mine I used my a/c compressor from my 96 EX,and the del sol bracket and only two bolts lines up. I did'nt have the compressor from the GSR so I tried to make what i had work. It took a year before the bolt broke and the compressor fell off.

#2 I can't remember what i did for hoses I think I made the stock GSR hoses work

#3 This goes along with #4. You will need a OBD1 to OBD2 adapter. It'll cost about $70 and it just plugs from your harness to your computer. You will also need to combine your stock 97 EX wiring harness with your GSR wiring harness. I paid a local shop to do mine for 100 bucks and make it plug and play. They even labeled everything for me.

#4 Just keep in mind that OBD1 has less emissions regulators on them so this swap will be illegal in some states. You will not pass any emisssions testing.

I hope this helps and good luck with your project!

thanks for the info!

i found this site that seems to have these 3 brackets...

www.hondaautomotiveparts.com

engine mount part #18333 $46.94
rear bracket part #23225 $40.46
CRV A/C bracket part#31252 $64.88

all together im looking at$171.10 shipped. some guy on ebay wants $115.00 for just the A/C bracket!

is there any other mount i need?

i just found out that the motor i purchased is an OBD2 motor. this should make things a little easier for me.

Ive been reading in some forums that the GSR header will be a few inches too short to reach my cat since the GSR cat is longer. i would like to buy the DC 4-1 headers, i am also adding an Apexi cat back set up.

is there a bracket i can buy to bolt on while im installing everything or will i need to bring my car to an exhaust shop so they can fabricate the extension?

if i buy the gsr cat, will this fit/resolve my issue?

one of the sellers on ebay, ssautochrome, is selling a jun style 4-1 header witha 4"extension included...

Ebay auction150077496512

is this crap?

yeah, its crap. and in my case, 4" would have been too long anyway. i made my own extension, and it ended up being just about 2" long. though i only had that problem with the DC header. i fit the Thunder header from West Imports (forum sponsor) on and it fits perfectly, so i think the dc header might be for an ls.
