got the new Ksports on the front no problem but i CANNOT get the rear shock lower bolts to budge. itried heating them with a torch and hitting them with a BIG hammer but to no avail, theyre stuck, seem to be fused to the bushings. I am out of ideas short of removing the entire lower control arms and getting them pressed out or something.

that's what you have to do. you will most likely have to cut the bolts out. the new ones will run you about $8 each at the dealership. If the bolts are seized in the control arm bushings, you may need to have new bushings pressed into the LCAs.

try PB Blaster first. spray them down and wait 5 minutes, then spray them again and wait 10 minutes, then try getting them off. that stuff works wonders.

yeah i tried that too, those things arent going anywhere unless i press them out with a bearing press, i think. that is, if i can get the other lower arm bolts out. nightmare!
it's pretty normal for a northern car that is 12 years old. just find someone with good tools to get them out.
