Default wiring question

hello all,

today i pulled the wiring harness out of my 94 DX manual and replaced it with a wiring harness from a 94 EX auto (i am adding power windows, locks, and windows). everything was pretty much plug and play and i am no expert so wasnt sure about compatibility issues. i do have a problem though, after the install the car will start and run for a second but then immediatley dies. i dont know if this is becauseof the automanual difference, perhaps there is an open circuit somewhere that causes the car to shut down? or perhaps because of the different engines that came in the two models? anyways, any thoughts?

v/r,
steven

Default RE: wiring question

i want to say your right but i have nothing firm to go on. i did a wire by wire comparison on the engine harness and the only difference is a couple of orange wires on the big plug, i think this would be forvtechif i had it. other than that it has to be something under the dash then...

the only thing i can see is that the plug for the brake pedal sensor is a 4 wire versus two wire. i dont even have it hooked up, do yout think that could be it? i just thought my brake lights wouldnt work. on the auto do you have to depress the brake pedal to start it? i know you do to shift out of park but i cant see that causing my engine to die but i suppose it is worth looking into.

steven
