Why would you want to take the motor out of a 99 and put it in an older car?

my thoughts exactly a 99 si is pretty cool. y not find another engine to put in an old car and keep the si the way it is

I guess... the engines in the 99 Si is pretty sweet... If u want my 2 cents, build her up and race her. Those engines are tuner friendly.

If you put the b16 in the older civic, it may be quicker but it seems like a waste of a good 99.
