Default Catback Shopping

Alrighty, I'm new here guys...but I have been lurking for the past week reading posts and the Sticky's in this section.

I'm having a hard time deciding on a decent catback...
I have a 00 Civic Si...Has AEM Intake and Spoon Header...AEM fuel rail...It's got DC cap and wires....stock from header-back exhaust.

Anyway I DO NOT plan on doing anything cosmetic to this car at all, I LOVE stock look of it, and I want a nice exhaust that will be quite and compiment the header already installed.

In fact I love the youtube video posted here
http://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_324...2/key_/tm.htm#
That's the kind of sound I am looking for, but I can't find those for cheaper than 500 anywhere.
Reading through here, I here all the top brands, but its seems not quite clear on sound/vs performance.
I was also looking at this Magnaflow on ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true
But I haven't got a decent read on if this is sounds ricey as hell or if its quiet.
I have also heard the Evo2's are pretty quiet, but those are also like 500+ everywhere.
Custom muffler shop here in my town quotes me about 300, but they don't do mandrel bending so I don't think I will go with that...
Any idea's?
I just want something that sounds decent, but quiet, flows well and doesn't look like I am dragging a freakin safe around, know what I mean?

get a custom exhaust done with a hi flo cat and a magnaflow straight through muffler. thats what i have and i absolutely LOVE it. sure, it's not mandrel bent, but who the hell cares? you won't see that big of a difference in performance from it. the custom muffler shop quoted me around 280 for my custom exhaust, including the muffler, piping, labor, and hi flo cat. but i wouldnt change it for anything. i also have 2.5" piping. just a recommendation man, but the choice is yours.

umm...most people care.

do yourself a favor, if you go custom, get mandrel bent. if not, go with greddy or magnaflow or megan. they are the favorites around here usually

I agree, most people do care . I don't know how much more mandrel bent piping is though. If you are on a budget and it's much more, don't even worry about it. I seriously doubt you will feel the difference.

do you think a 4.5" on a civic might look a little too big?

exactly what i was thinking devney, the cost difference between mandrel bent and crush bent, then the performance gains, it really isnt worth it to me, especially if you arent going F/I
