I honestly wouldn't pay more than 300 for a Dseries engine, if you're paying more than that you're paying way too much. People throw away Dseries engines, there's no reason you can't pick them up for cheap. FULL SWAPS (axles, ECU, everything) 600-700 maybe, but not just a block and a head.

Average I've seen thus far in my search is 175-250 + shipping. I'll be just fine in that department, I've just got to find someone willing to follow through and actually ship the damn thing..
Pete, I've learned everything I know by just getting in and doing it.. I know this swap isn't nearly as complex as yours, but this has been a walk in the park so far. *knocks on wood*
