Default '00 EX vs d16z6 (which would win)

I have a 2000 civic ex and my friend has a ex with a d16z6. the cars are both stock... could i beat him?

It depends on who the better driver is...I believe that the engine specs are about the same...please if I am wrong someone correct me, I'm still new to the civic scene

Are either sticks or slushboxes? 7th generation ex's are not known for power at all, so unless you have a stick and he has an auto I think he'd get you. IMO

i hear that 6th gen civics weigh more than 5th gens. i think the d16z6 would win. motor specs are almost exactly the same however. its gonna come down to the driver.

Dont even count on 5 hp. And that wont do much for you anyway. The 2000 EX is 180 pounds heavier than the EG. So unless he has a big sub box or a friend in the car, he will probably win. It will be close though. Its a drivers race. Im cheering for the EG!
