I want to install my oil catch can. Where do I put it? I assume I put one hose to the valve cover and one to the intake pipe. But where do you all mount it. I think it needs to be vertical. Any suggestions? I posted a pic of my engine bay with the catch can just sitting near the intake.
take the catch can and run one of the lines to the pcv location on the intake manifold. Take the other and put it on the black box(pcv) on the back of the block.
basicly you are getting rid of your pcv system and cleaning up the air going into your motor
OK, I hooked up the oil catch can wrong! What was I thinking? Anyhow I see where I'm supposed to put it, to the pcv valve and then to the intake manifold, is that correct riceburner?
Then am I supposed to put a tiny air filter onto the valve cover? I did that before and oil dripped out of it. Also on the air intakeside of the turbo pipe there is a opening as you can see in the pic for what I thought was the oil catch tank. What goes here?
cap off the air filter/tube
put a breather on the valve cover
hook one of the hoses to the intake manifold(pcv) and follow that hose to the black can under the intake manifold take out the hose and install the other hose from the catch can there on the black box
