Am I risking my life with these coilovers?

what can all go wrong if i buy cheap coilovers off ebay or somethin? can they like break and my body falls onto my axles and i crash and die? or are they just more stiff and what not?

im not sure about that. ive always asked the same thing seeing that stuff for like $30 lol. Almost 99.99 percant of that crap comes from china and the ebay sellers that sell that stuff, most of them are already in china. view there auctions and feedback, you can see they use improper spelling, and phrasing.

save yourself time, grief and loot, save for a good set and be done with it.

ive ran a few of the cheaper sets, adn theyre not as bad as some of the other cheap stuff you could do, like exhausts and headers. (surprisingly) but ive also cracked sleeves, so if you can, get the Ground Controls, they seem to be one of the best.

so if i wanted to, i could install these..drive them for about 8 months then switch back to stock when i get rid of my car and I wouldnt have to worry about dieing lol? and what do you mean by cracking a sleave? what exactly happens?

the threaded sleeve that slips over the shock cracked. not catastrophic, but i noticed the passenger side was tuckin more tire than the drivers side. if youll only use em for 8 months, go for it, but dont lower it too much, or youll have to get new shocks before you can sell it.

You always get what you pay for.

I doubt they would break and end your life into a guard rail, but I suspect they would sag after a few months. Not to mention I would guess the quality control of that product is terrible, and the spring rates may very well change from spring to spring.

Get a name brand, they are name brand for a reason :D

You are not risking your life.. The only problem with them is the crappy ride you get with them... Especialy if you pair them up with stock struts.. You will be bouncing all over the place.
