View Full Version : Valid reasons to report posts

Seems like every time I try to report a post, I can never come up with a valid reason.

For instance, it doesn't accept troll, trolling, flamer, douchebag (ok so I've never tried douchebag)...

was just wondering what it does accept?

ok, maybe I can't see it because I'm an admin, but where is this "report post" function? can I get a screenshot?

haha what? the admins have a different view of the forum compared to regular users. thanks whiterabbit for the pic.

So what happens when you try to report something? can you leave the "reason" field blank?

I don't really have an answer for you. no idea what the problem is. if you just leave that field blank, do you still get an error?

mabey its just me but reporting someone seems childish, if someone puts some thing there they should not one of the mods or admins, i would think would most likely find it. thats just how i think of that

we don't have time to read every single thread here.

honestly I don't even know what's supposed to happen when someone "reports" a post...

i know u cant read them all i just dont see why u would report someone im probably the only person that feels this way

mabey its just there to cause a big confusion

reporting a post is sopost to send a link to the post to the mods, either through a pm or the mod's admin pc depending on how the forum is set up.

i agree with civicblend97. if someone says something rude or inapproriate, just ignore it. your pretty much "tattling" on someone, as my little bro would say. if the post bothers you, don't read it.:D

I disagree, and I appreciate it when people PM me to report spam, trolls, etc.

that's pretty much the only reason i ever report a post... a troll or spammer

trolls are people that basically just join a forum to bash and flame people and cause trouble

hmm..im not sure. i thought that it had a drag-down menu, but evidently not...i will check and see what is wrong with it, and for the time being, if someone has a problem with a post, they are welcome to contact and admin, moderator, or me...

If the post bothers me then I feel that it may bother others..I then will delete the post to the bin...
