Product: K&N Typhoon Series Short Ram Air Intake
Vendor: www.AutoPartsWarehouse.com
Price: Now ~$165
Install: Appx. 1 hour
Rating: *****
Only reason I give it a 4 out of 5 is because it just sucks in too much hot air from the engine bay. For a short ram, its great though. But I give it a 4 because cold air would be better if you have another ~$100 to blow.

Look at all the other posts and do a write up like everyone else, with pictures too. That helps people see what kind of product you have and what they possibly will buy!:D

it works best when the engine is still cold and when it cold out that when u can really hear it suck in then as it warms up its not so much...thats why i wanna see if i can get an extension to make it a cold air intake

I dont think I have seen a 7th gen owner with a CAI other than me... the CAI i got from Simota had to be "modified" a little to get it to fit in the wheel well but it didnt fit completely... I think keeping the short ram like it is will be the best and cheapest option for you.

definitley a great product with noticable throttle response and easy install. The only problem is getting the right strut tower bar to clear the tubing coming out of the throttle body. K&N filters unbeatable!

It'sa vibrant strut bar, polished finish. i just took it off because in order to make it fit, i had to force it onby pulling and bending it a litttle. doing that compromises the integrity and purpose of thestrut bar. plus, it was touching the hose that goes from the tubing to the crank case. shortly after the install, the hose splitfrom thetension. So, i'm selling it for $50, or best offer. It fit and performedgreat when I installed it withthe stock air box,now I have a pipe in the way. I had them in my old car and it is a really great product for the cost. ($70-$75 band new) I've only had the civic strut bar for less than a month, so if you're interested or know anyone, let me know. laterz.

try the neuspeed strut tower bar (front upper). thats what im doing. goin to get it tommorrow. the bar looks like an "X" almost and it should go behind the throttle body and intake tubing. check it out.

My Neuspeed upper strut should be here today. I thought I may have the same issue with my AEM V2 so I decided to go with the Neuspeed instead of the DC strut bar I had originally ordered. Also, as a side note I have been told that in the future if you ever plan on doing a K motor swap the DC and some other strut bars will no longer fit, however the Neuspeed will still fit. This was another reason why I went with Neuspeed. I will get pics of it installed hopefully tonight if it arrives.
