Default How can u check if your Catylitic converter is shot???

Hey,
Just wondering if any of you know how to check if your catylitic converter is shot....my cars running poorly and I think it could be one of the problems.

and if it is shot, you can use Grim's Cat converter easy fix:

necessary tools: 1 pole of slightly smaller diameter than exhaust piping
1 Large hammer
place 1 end of pole into center section of converter
vigorously hammer other end of pole with large hammer.

Fixed.

also, if a cat is shot, wouldn't your exhuast smell like sewer? I herd that somewhere before.

also if your cat converter is shot wouldnt that mean that you have more hp? you know the filament inside breaks donw after awhile allowing more flow...isnt that right?

the thing that i have heard about them "going bad"..is them getting cloged up...reducing air flow but i could be wrong

That it true. Your car will smell reallt bad out of the exhaust.
