View Full Version : What do you think?
Fiirkan 02-22-2007, 11:49 PM So at my Honda dealership they have a set of 16's there that i was told they would give me for just above cost. now i am undecided if i actually like them, i held one in my hand and i would say that it weighed maybe at MOST 13lbs. no if i remember correctly they are Omni but i am not sure. this picture isn't the exact ones but they are the same design. what do you guys think? yes or no?

Peg_Leg 02-23-2007, 01:51 AM i like them tim they would look sweet on your hatch
patto_001 02-23-2007, 02:40 AM i like them.. not ricey at all.
badb0ybilly 02-23-2007, 03:06 AM a little too much chrome for me. but i like em.
jake11375 02-23-2007, 09:05 AM They look good to me... +1
bakertime 02-23-2007, 09:32 AM They would definitely look nice on your car man, go for it!
Talon585 02-23-2007, 09:41 AM What finish is on the wheels? If its silver then i say yes but if its chrome then no. Chrome wheels IMO looks ugly on white cars. Im thinking there are not chrome since they only weight 13 lbs.
FlipHKD720 02-23-2007, 10:18 AM siiiiiiiiick Tim, hit them up
Fiirkan 02-23-2007, 11:20 AM Yeah they aren't the ones in the picture, that is what they look like stylewise, they are a little more silver then the ones in the pic and a little less chrome but they are still kinda chromey which is what makes me kinda iffy on them. but i do like the style... hmmm decisions decisions.... i need to come up with the money for them either way lol
not bad, but they will look kinda silly if your car stays at stock height.

Fiirkan 02-23-2007, 02:18 PM Sorry my mistake they aren't Omni they are Dai's Nebula model in hyper silver i think. i saw them in a pretty dark room so they may be gunmetal, one or the other cause that is the onlt color options for them lol
drbyers 02-23-2007, 02:20 PM im gonna have to vote NAY...
i think they'd be a bit much on your stock looking EG.
bronze rota c8s or HD inc. hairpins would look much cooler.
Fiirkan 02-23-2007, 02:26 PM Or black OZ Ultraleggera's[8D][8D]
Fiirkan 02-23-2007, 02:36 PM Well i think my final verdict is nay, they like byers said are just too bling bling for my hatch, and since my car is only going to get stanley cler corners(in shipping) non-C/F duckbill and an OEM lip. and maybe sone red/clear tails they would still stand out a bit much. there was another set of 14's at the honda dealership that i liked and they said they can get em in 15's too so i will look into that. or bite the bullet and order some Rota's or try and find a good deal on some OZ Ultraleggera's *drools* i love those wheels
Oh and another thing, it is kinda bad when a company makes replica wheels but uses the pictures of their real name counterpart:eek: take a look at the light weight wheels section, they have SSR's Spoon's ect and they use the picture from the actual model

drbyers 02-23-2007, 02:46 PM go to honda-tech. they have specials on rotas constantly.
and if you're gonna get a duckbill then rotas would ROOL!
Fiirkan 02-23-2007, 02:50 PM i have decided after today i am going through my honda dealership here for all stuff, i get great deals cause i get discount. and i am sick and tired of paying customs fees. $114 for my catback today... just for customs... that is B.S. i would hate to pay the customs for the wheels.. unless someone wants to ship em to me as a gift then we can bypass the customs
drbyers 02-23-2007, 02:50 PM here ya go: http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/697937
they're fast and reliable too. i ordered my coilovers from them.

you should be able to get optional OEM wheels through them. Check out some of what was available for the 01-05s, they had some 15s. Nothing radical, but different from stock

edit you are right tim our year is a 45 mm off set
yeah, whoops, I did the math for 42 instead of 45 but still... I don't know if this will work for you or not

Fiirkan 02-23-2007, 07:24 PM Well don't i just suck at reading then:D
And if you can do a chop with the fit wheels on that car i will be able to make my final decision lol cause it is looking good in that pic
they do look good, but I'm worried about the clearance on the inside
local://upfiles/4155/B53C8EED11F24CFA9B43EBAF7F7201DD.jpg
edit: I think I made them a little too big
Fiirkan 02-23-2007, 07:37 PM yeah they look bigger then 16's. i will research into them, ask them at honda if there is anything that i can get to make em fit... hehehe i need to fit Fit wheels lol
spacers would work; you may need extended wheel studs though
Fiirkan 02-23-2007, 07:45 PM hmmmm if it comes that i may just get the 7 spoke's on the other chop... hmm but those are only 14's... hmm maybe it will be the 8 spokes i dunno i will decide in due time
Fiirkan 02-23-2007, 09:14 PM oh yeah lol. man my brain isn't working today at ALL lol.

i believe they do come in 15's. i've seen them on a few cars that come thru the dealership. i'd def. rock those if i were u:)
riceburner700 02-24-2007, 11:49 PM i would get them powder coated for anodized if they are aluminum, silver/chrome on white is just not a good combo imo
