Default b18 onto a d series tranny?

I found a perfect b18a out of an auto 91 integra ls.
I have a 94 civic dx coupe.

I am wondering if a need a new tranny, and if I do, which tranny do I need. Any info is a huge help.

ps, my clutch is hydro.everything is d series.

yes u need a new tranny b engines need b trannys, same with d's. but if the engine ur getting doesnt have a tranny then i would get one from a b16a2(i likes those tranny's)

It's doable, you'll need a D2B hub which is around 1000 or so, and then you'll need to purchase a Bseries trans which would also be very expensive.

Worth it, no. If you want a better tranny get an EX/Si trans and put Mfactory gears into it.

if im not mistaken i believe he wants to swap the b series in there so he wanted to use his d series tranny with it. not d motor with b tranny, lol

yeah not a good idea, and i think you have a d16y7 (I have one as well), and from what i've heard they have one of the worst trannies around haha

id go with the b18a and a b16 cable tranny(not that expensive actually if you look around) and i think youll be happy with it
