I think ive blown my motor! HELP
 

Hi guys, recently after putting a boost adjustable f.p.r. on my car, it stuckopen to 5bar which i was on my way home to fix.my enginedeveloped a serious problem.

after pulling in, the car cut out which i asssumed was as it was flooding itself.after restarting it, smoke started poruing out of the engine bay,i lifted the bonnet, and it turned out it was coming from the breather from the cam cover, i took the oil filler cap offand it was clearly coming from inside the cam cover.

the car would not restart after this. and when it did it was smoking blue smoke out of the exhaust. and sounded like it was running on three

it was fine befrore so something major must have happened, im going to do a compression test as i suspect it may be the rings.

ive got a b16a2 with a turbo kit on it.

could be a number of things, but I would definitely run compression and leakdown tests, and go from there.

I bet you wish you'd taken our warnings a little more seriously huh? ;) Turns out, maybe we DID know what we were talking about

And 1bar, boosting without a tune on 166K is one of the worst things ive ever heard of. Poor B16 :(but i think HCF told ya so! :D

I would say that something is toasted.. But the motor is almost definitely not completely dead like mine was

he sounded like an ass in that other post. he didnt listen. so why should we help him if he he knows everything? we oviesly dont know anything
