Default What Trans In In Here???

ok guys,
i got a friend who got a 90 civic DX hatchwith what he thinks is a 98 si swap with a prelude manual transmission, we are currently looking to find what engine this really is and what trans it really is so we can look at headers and such... however there seems to be no way to know this as we can't see any codes or markings... please help !!!

If your looking at the motor it is stamped on the lower left side of the motor....hard to miss should say b16 if you have an si motor

well, small update : we found out the engine was the d16y8, as the Si in Canada is the Ex in the Us, now all we need is a way to find the code of the trans without pulling it apart, any suggestions???
