cracking sheetmetal rear upper strut

I seem to remember something about the sheetmetal cracking on some civics when rear upper strut bars were installed. I went thru all the posts, and couldn't find it again. Am I going nuts or has this happened to any of you guys?

i havent seen any posts about it, but it might be there. i have a problem with my Skunk2 camber kit hitting mine on th efront. it put 2 nice little holes in the shock tower. if youre worried about that, take it to a body shop and have it welded, and maybe even reinforced.

has it caused you any problems, or is it just superficial?
