Default What's wrong with my oil/engine?

I installed an oil catch tank b/c the breather I put on the valve cover would allow oil to blow all over the firewall. So after 3 weeks of having the catch can I need to drain it b/c it was getting full and this is what was in there.

I'm assuming b/c the breather was shooting out oil there is a problem with the rings, or something internal. I'm only running 6-7psi on boost for the last 2 years with 140K miles on the engine. Time to rebuild?

I would guess coolant in the oil. Blown headgasket maybe? Do a compression/leakdown test.

From what I understand that is normal to have some sort of gunky yellowish **** in the catchcan. I don't know what it is or why it's there but from what I've heard it's common.

Do a leakdown/compression just to make sure though.

I've seen this before, general consensus seems to be that it gets "frothy" and oxygenated which changes the color. Oil in your engine still looks fine, right? don't worry about it.
