Default fg1 vs gtp

A friend of mine just purchased his 01 gtp coupe(stock) a few weeks ago, it has 25k on it. I have an 06 ex coupe mt with intake. I just recently purchase an exhaust and dowpipe for my car and wanted a before and after race to see if there was any difference. My friend had been wanting to race for a while so i agreed..( We havent got the after race in yet). First race from a dig. Both of us have 1 passenger. My passenger yells 1 2 3. I launch around 4k ish and get a great launch ,he spins off the line. From 1st gear to second hes at my bumper, and it stayed like this till the end of my second gear, then we ran out of room. Second race was from a 60 roll. He started the honks. 3rd honk i downshift to 3rd and start to pull for a minor second. He is about in my blind spot but i can still seem him as he starts to walk past me. At about 90 hes a good 3 cars a head but isnt pulling as hard anymore.
3rd and final race was from another dig. My passenger gives the count andon three i get another good launching spinning just a little bit. The gtp gets a much better start this time and we are side by side. I chirp second and he slowly starts to pull me. I shift to 3rd and he starts to pull harder. i shift to 4th at 94 and he is a good 4 to 5 cars ahead. i shut down at 110 with him about 6 cars head.
I ran my 4cyl as hard as it could, i was a little surprise how well i did, along with our passengers. I know im gonna loose even with the exhaust and dp, but it will be nice to see if they make a difference. I will post as soon as i run him again with the exhaust and downpipe.
sorry for the long read.

Guy was definitly getting used to the car. Stock they run high 14's to very low 15's. Beware though, a few mods make those cars extreme sleepers.

i know. hes about to get a smaller pulley, intake, exhaust without the u bend. and i think its called like a pcIII or somthen like that that(reflash or ecu upgrade, i think thats what he said).
A few hrs after we ran he ran against a 89lx 5sp mustang with exhaust. It was even until the stang hit third, then the mustang started to walk.
