1998 DX Lowering Question...
I have a 1998 Civic DX Sedan I just put 18" ADR wheels on it with a set of 215/35/18 tires.... the wheels are 42 offset...
I want to lower it and I know I need to go with a coil over setup and I was wonering what brand do you guys recomend... Should I get the coil overs and shocks seperate or buy them as a set? Thanks in advance... BW |

RE: 1998 DX Lowering Question...
don't lower the vehicle to a great extent because you'll have problem's with your wheel/tire/offset. just as well, your ride wheel comfort will be horrible with that low of profile tire and suspension drop.

RE: 1998 DX Lowering Question...
I don't plan on dropping it much more than 1" in the back and just a little more in the front... But I figure with coil overs if I ever change to 17" wheels I could drop it more...

RE: 1998 DX Lowering Question...
It's really up to you -- I have the Tokico HP spring/shock set and I have about 1" gap left all around (little less in the rear) and personally, I don't like it. I'm not a fan of wheel well gap at all. I personally would give up a a little bit of comfort for a NICE stance! It's all about what YOU want.;)
