about 5 months ago i got a competition stage 1 clutch for my 92 civic lx, i didnt liike the job the mechanic did to install it, y is it that i notice every few weeks or so the engagement point on the clutch changes, ( when i switch gears, either i have to let the clutch slowly go one week, and the other week i have to let it go faster or it wont catch perectly and the car will jock slightly?) itsl ike the engagment point is always changing

It could be you didnt break it in properly. When you get a new clutch you have to baby it for about 500 miles.

there is a break in period for clutches...if you have a cable clutch you can tighten it up yourself to get rid of the play....i had a crx one time that during brake in had fluxing catch points until in wouldn't engage in gear until i tightened up the slack i couldnt get the clutch to engage to start it even...felt like an ass after i towed it to the shop then realized what it was( just after b16 swap)....if you have hydro tranny i dont know how you adjust it

yea i know that u can adjust on cable tranny, but i have a hydraluic and that cannot be adjusted, jus curious in the case my clutch would be "slipping" wat would be happening and i hope this is not the case cause my clutch was replaced2500 miles ago

A clutch slipping is like whenever you let the clutch out but it is still engaged. Either happens when the clutch is too worn or if you are pushing more hp than the clutch can handle.

Does the actual clutch pedal adjust? On my eclipse I can adjust it from there. You can also try bleeding the system. Oh and you can see if the clutch slips by putting it in 4th or 5th gear on the highway at low rpms and mash the gas. That works well on higher horsepower cars....

it could be an install prob also...my buddy with a wrx had that problem after a careless rushed clutch install that left some oil residue on his clutch
