Your trans oil is all you have to replace. Honda manual reccommends Honda MTF. Some use regular old 10W-30.

don't waste your coin on mtf from the dealer. i have before and it made no difference than when i used 10w30. but its your car do what you want.

and the honda owners manual says 10w30 oil for the trans too.

yes either 10w30 motor oil. its actually is in the onwers manual. or honda genuine manual trans fluid, or gm synchromesh.

none of them are proven to be better than the other. this debate has been going on for a long ass time. and chances are if you took your car to a honda dealer they would put 10w30 in you car because its cheaper.

i have run both and they is no difference in the smoothness of shifting or the longevity of your transmission.

yea, the dealer i went to, ( im pretty familiar around there) told me not to waste my money on MTF, he said they dont even use it unless a customer request's it be used. so, i trust my honda guy, and i filled up with 2 qts. of castrol synthetic, and damn is it smooth, way better than when it had 70k on the stock MTF.... but do what you want. its a really easy "fix" oh, and an easier way to fill it is removing the vechicle speed sensor on the top....
