Default Honda VTEC Engine Oil

VTEC Oil

I never heard or seen this before. It seems like another gimmick though. It's probably a typical engine oil with Honda brand on it.

they are probably just trying to sell you some overpriced oil. If you want an oil upgrade just go with synthetic (Mobil1 is the best)

Yea, that's what I thought too. I always use Mobil 1, Redline, & Royal Purple for all my cars. For my current Civic, I always use Mobil 1 5W-30 ever since brand new.

I spoke with some people in Asia & Australia, they told me that those oil exist. It's pretty much a rebadged Castrol oil though from what they told me.

VTEC oil? Thats a new one on me..... As cliched as this sounds, a seriously good oil to run is either Motul or Pennzoil - I've never gone wrong with either of these. The only one to stay away from is Castrol Magnatec... ( think about it, it adheres to your engine with little metal particles.... can't be good long term...) so avoid that like the plague... I think Im going to try and hunt down this vtec oil just to see what its all about tho for my next 5000 klicks.
luv DQ
