Default What to look for in a used tranny

I've got my eye on http://dallas.craigslist.org/pts/302783192.html this transmission for my 98dx which has a bad ISB. What should I be looking for when buying a used transmission? I know the obvious things like making sure it has no chunks missing from the housing and what not. But any other tips for buying a used tranny?
~Thanks

I wanted the EX gearing, I was under the impression that it's geared closer than the DX tranny. Think it's worth it?
