Default Rims 16 or 17

i got a 03 civic 2 door, i was planning on getting some 17s but the more i read people say not to ge them and stuff, so what would you all sugguest i do, whats the disadvantages of 17s, it rides alot rougher or what? although 16s are nice you can get alot more cool looking ones in 17, like theses ones i personally like

alot of it is personal preference, i like bigger wheels right now(i have 17's on mine). 16's would ride alot smoother but as you said they dont have many good looking ones imo. 17's will be rougher but look better too imo. like i said personal preference.

I think a lot of it boils down to your budget and what your willing to spend on rims(and tires). The bigger the rims and tires the more expensive they get, if you got the loot to sling around go for 17's. You want to get light but strong rims, and rotate your tires often.

everyone said not to get 17's but i got em of 215/45/17 and ride is almost as good as stock and they look amazing

dito.... its all preference..... if you like a smoother daily ride.... go the smaller size..... BUT if ya want that EYE POP.... the larger rims...

thats what i like! the EYE POP of 17s! i dont think id get any larger on ANY vehicle tho... just cause anything over 17s... and tires get expensive.LOL

yeah no chit, plus 18's on a civic is just rediculous! rubbin all the time too. i saw a cic the other day with 20's on it and i wanted to laugh because he could barely turn the damn thing
